Since the first launch of our first product, Meandair strives to deliver weather nowcasting data of the highest scientific quality.

We regularly evaluate performance of our near-term forecasts against the ground truth and improve our algorithms to provide cutting edge products for near-term aviation weather forecast.

Since the first launch of our first product, Meandair strives to deliver weather nowcasting data of the highest scientific quality.

For this, we use a battery of the most impactful meteorological comparison metrics. However sometimes the high scientifics quality of the data is not enough and our customers demand also visually appealing form of the data presentation as well.

"Cloud thickness" and "Cloud top relief", the latter being responsible for the shades of grey.

To improve the visual rendering of our datasets we have developed a new high-resolution visualization technique to cover all Meandair data products with this visually pleasing form. The improvement is clearly visible especially in the more detailed zoom levels.

To achieve these results, the data produced by our computation pipeline is carefully interpolated and vectorized using the state of the art image processing algorithms so as to preserve the accuracy of the underlying forecast.

The results provide high-quality tiled weather data not only in the native resolution, but also in much higher detail, all the while also significantly improving compression of the delivered map overlays.
