Meandair, supplier of Skydemon’s new weather feature

01/19/2021

Meandair BV licenses its weather nowcasting data for the new feature of the SkyDemon app called Flyable Conditions.

After several months of integration and testing, team Meandair is thrilled to announce the cooperation with Skydemon. Our unique & accurate nowcasting weather data, including surface visibility, cloud ceilings & tops estimates is already available to a selected group of SkyDemon pilots in a Beta testing mode.

The Flyable Conditions layer, a personalised weather forecast feature tailored for VFR pilots, is based on the users own ceiling & visibility margins and designed to give a quick view on where the weather is good enough to go flying. Initially, it includes a short-term forecast with a 2 hours ahead function.

Meandair is funded by the European Space Agency (ESA) through ESA Space Solutions and is carried out in collaboration with Science [&] Technology and KNMI, The Netherlands.
Meandair B.V. is participating in the ESA Business Incubation Centre Noordwijk, The Netherlands.
